We’ll be back at The Star this August for QMISHC 2026.

The Queensland Mining Industry Health and Safety Conference is an initiative to promote health and safety in the Queensland mining industry, providing the opportunity to exchange information, network and foster proactive health and safety management techniques.

From the conference organisers:

This year the theme Our Greatest Resource, Our People, will explore and challenge the benefits of recognising and prioritising our greatest resource, our people.

We will continue to grow on the success from last year’s conference, following on from the 2025 theme, Rock Solid – The Foundations of Safety Excellence, which challenged us to go back to basics and revisit the fundamental principles of safety that form the foundation of our industry. Based on your feedback, we are preparing a tailored program and keynote speakers with content relevant to industry’s needs to protect our greatest resource.
