Meet the TSI 3340A Laser Aerosol Spectrometer
When accuracy at the smallest particle sizes matters, not all optical spectrometers perform the same.
The TSI 3340A Laser Aerosol Spectrometer (LAS) is the go-to solution for high-resolution particle size and concentration measurements in demanding filter testing applications – where sensitivity, resolution, and confidence in the data are required.
Why R&D teams choose the 3340A LAS:
- Detects particles below 0.1 µm, ideal for MPPS and filtration efficiency studies
- Better counting efficiency than conventional optical solutions
- Broad measurement range for CADR, HEPA/ULPA, and air cleaner testing
- NIST-traceable calibration and ISO 21501-1 compliance for trusted results across R&D, QA, and regulatory environments
Whether you’re developing new filter media or validating performance, the 3340A delivers the sensitivity and resolution needed to make confident decisions.

TSI 3340A product information:
Conduct optical measurements of particles from 90 nm to 7.5 micrometers simultaneously. The Laser Aerosol Spectrometer (LAS) 3340A combines ultra-high sensitivity and superior resolution with ease-of-use. The LAS is an optical spectrometer that measures particle size distributions from 0.09 (90 nm) to 7.5 µm. The 100 size channels are configurable; this enables users to zero in on a specific size range, or to match the resolution of another instrument.
The LAS 3340A is used in many different applications: determining the efficiency of air cleaners, HEPA/ULPA high efficiency filter testing, indoor/outdoor air quality studies, and source apportionment. Measure a complete size distribution in as little as one second.
