Kenelec Scientific and COVID-19

It’s been a strange few weeks, but we don’t want you to become a stranger.

 

We would like to assure all our customers that as of right now, Kenelec Scientific is open for business as usual. This includes our sales, rental and servicing departments, as well as our warehouse for inward and outward deliveries.

 

Saying that, given the rapid rate at which things have been changing over the past few weeks, we are monitoring the situation closely and will update if things change or as more information becomes available.

 

Protecting our team

To minimise the risk of exposure to our team, many of our staff are currently working from home. They are fully contactable, but it may take a little longer to get in touch with certain individuals… More on this below.

 

For our staff members working in our calibration laboratories and warehouse, we have put additional safety measures in place including providing hand sanitiser, alcohol wipes and gloves, and have implemented new wipe-down protocols of shared work spaces to help keep these clean.

 

If you’re looking at the best way to get your units in for calibration or service, to keep everyone safe, we suggest you organise delivery by courier our Warehouse staff. If you do need to drop off or pick up your equipment, please note that this can only be done via our warehouse entrance at the rear of our building.

 

Also, as much as we enjoy a visit, we’d ask you that at this time to please try and keep physical visits to a minimum. If you do need to visit us for any reason or are unsure, please call ahead first so that we can a) ensure the relevant people you need to visit are available or b) provide you with alternate options such as a phone or video conference.

 

Protecting your equipment

As well as our people, your equipment is important to us so we’re making sure we look after it.

 

We have additional sanitising protocols in place in all our laboratories, including thorough wipe down of the unit with alcohol wipes to ensure they are returned to you clean and sterilised.

 

We are also taking extra care when packing your unit to send back to you.

While we would much prefer to see you in person, at this time we’re going to have to keep our (social) distance.

 

Our main phone line – 03 9873 1022 – is always open, however, with more people at home and less manning the phones, if for whatever reason you are not able to dial in, please you to send an email to your regular Kenelec Scientific contact, or use the Contact Us form on our website.
