The instrument incorporates streaming current technology to produce a measurement of electrokinetic charge (ionic & colloidal) using a sample obtained from various points in the process (Headbox, Coated Broke, Machine Chest, TrayWater, etc..). The sample is then titrated with a low molecular weight polymer of the opposite charge to bring the sample to a neutral charge. The amount of titrant consumed by the sample is used to quantify the level of charge (anionic or cationic) present in the furnish. The result, given as Charge Demand, can be used to effectively control the addition of cationic additives (starch, polymers, coagulants, etc..) in order to stabilize charge disturbances. Reducing or even eliminating charge variability stabilizes the wet end and helps optimize and reduce feed rates of expensive additives while also improving paper qualities.

Simplicity of use combined with maximum functionality, all in a pocket sized instrument, were key objectives for the development of the Castle GA256 Personal Sound Exposure Meter. A feature packed, pocket instrument that is fully compliant with IEC 61672-1:2002 Class 2 and IEC 60651: 2001 Type 2. This meter gives simultaneous sound pressure (Lp) and peak (Pmax) measurement for a multitude of tasks including initial spot-check assessments to the Noise at Work Regulations 1989.
|
Most Measurement codes of practice and good practice demand that an independent acoustic calibration of any sound level meter should be made before and after a series of measurements and the Castle GA601 provides just that facility. It produces a calibration tone of 1000Hz at a level of 94dB re 20µPa at the microphone.
|
The Castle GA606 vibration calibrator is the most useful small calibrator around. Ideal for calibrations of acceleration, velocity and displacement measurement equipment. Single button operation with an auto-power off facility ensure ease of use and a long battery life.
|
- Similar to the GA601 in design, the GA607 meets the demanding standards of a class 1 calibrator
- It features two calibration levels, 94dB and 104dB re 20µPa both at 1kHz
- It is for use with 1/2” microphones
- Using the GA607, a sound level meter can be checked at two meter scale points and usually on two ranges

- Warning Sign Slave Units allow a repeated version of the noise activated sign message to increase visibility
- Using this function along with the ability to link masters together, it is possible to build up systems to suit just about any configuration of workplace and warning requirements
|
- According to industrial safety law, areas subject to hazardous noise must be clearly defined, and workers notifies of the danger
- In many cases, the noise hazard is intermittent and that’s precisely the situation for which the GA902 was designed
- The GA902 activates only when the noise exceeds a pre-set level allowing exposed workers to wear ear defenders - often a less than popular safety measure - only when absolutely necessary.

Simplicity is the key to the flexibility that this software offers. Once the program is open, one mouse click is all it takes to start acquiring data from the instrument. Options are then presented to the user about how much data and which types of data to acquire thus giving control to the operator. Once the data is in the PC (a few seconds later), displaying the information in either graphical or tabular form could not be simpler. The 'explorer' pane on the left of the window shows the structure of the data and simply clicking on a data item will display either a graph or table in the right hand pane depending on the suitability of the data.

With the MiniNet particle counter, Particle Measuring Systems has developed the first process monitor designed specifically for detecting the presence and causes of particle events in minienvironments.
Through the use of ensemble (i.e. simultaneous, multi-point) sampling, the MiniNet increases the odds of detecting a harmful particle event almost seven-fold. Once you've observed an event, the built-in differential air pressure reading helps you identify the particle source more rapidly.
MiniNet takes less space and is easier to install than equivalent stand-along particle monitors. It is available with or without pump, and can be mounted either inside or outside the minienvironment. Two additional 4-20 mA sensors (such as AFV, TRH, CAP or ESA) can be added. Data collection and analysis are simplified as data from all sensors are transmitted to the Facility Net data management system via a single Ethernet output.

Most TSI Thermal Anemometry probes are built with a plug-in connector. Thus, they require a probe support which serves to support the probe and provide an electrical connection to the anemometer. TSI probe supports come in a wide variety of configurations and lengths, for both single- and dual-sensor probes (standard three-sensor probes are designed with a probe support built-in), and for either gas or liquid flows. Right angle adapters, available for both single- and dual-sensor probes, allow probe mounting in an end flow orientation, even when the probe support is mounted in a cross flow arrangement. Totally immersible probe supports are also available for liquid applications.

The Large Format Cell (LFC) is a laser ablation cell offered as an option to New Wave Research, Inc. UP-213nm laser ablation product line. The cell is optimized for accepting large samples up to six inches square, without sacrificing analytical performance due to a large cell volume.
|
Once a laser induced aerosol is generated it must be transported from the laser chamber to the ICP spectrometer. The dynamics associated with transporting the aerosol to an inductively coupled plasma will have a significant effect on all subsequent data. Sample chambers designed for laser ablation have traditionally had large, cylindrical volumes (20cc to 80cc). The driving force behind these large volume designs is primarily based on the desire to fit many samples (and standards) in the cell at one time, enhancing analytical throughput. Under normal operating conditions the carrier gas flow through these cells range from 0.5L/min. to 1.5L min-1. (8cc to 25cc sec.-1). For these conventional sample cells the time required for complete evacuation of an aerosol generated by a single laser pulse is > 6 seconds.

- A noise activated sign that's hard to miss.
- The noise level at which the sign is activated can be set to mirror that of the Castle Electronic Orange so that both respond together when regulations are infringed.
- You can choose any message you like, such as 'Music too Loud', that gives venue staff additional impetus to act to reduce noise levels.
- Now there's no excuse for annoyed patrons when the music stops.
