Water-based Condensation Particle Counter - 3781
The Model 3781 Water-based Condensation Particle Counter (WCPC) can detect airborne particles down to 6 nm in diameter. Using single particle detection with live-time coincidence correction, the 3781 covers a wide particle concentration range up to 5×105 particles/cm3. It features low cost, small size and light weight and is an ideal choice for monitoring temporal and spatial variations of various environments with multiple units. It is well-suited for a wide range of applications, including indoor air-quality measurements, environmental monitoring, atmospheric and climate-change studies, and mobile aerosol studies.
This low-cost WCPC uses water vapor* to enlarge particles for easy detection by an optical detector. It provides fast response to rapid changes in aerosol concentration, one week of unattended operation, internal data logging, and pressure-corrected aerosol flow rate. TSI Aerosol Instrument Manager® software is included for instrument control and data handling.
