LDV System 2-Component

This pre-configured typical 2D, or two-component, LDV system gets you up and running in a hurry. It is a workhorse system providing maximum two-component data with minimum hardware. The fiberoptic transceiver probe offers point-and-shoot velocity measurement capability with no other probes or sensors needed. The probe is attached to a convenient rotating mount for easy setup. Processing electronics have been pre-selected and configured for a wide range of velocity measurements.

This system can be upgraded easily to a three-component LDV system. Since traversing, seeding, and data processing requirements will vary with the application, no traverses, particle generators, or computeC included here.

IC Engine Probe Adaptor - EP-12 / EP-14

Monosize Droplet Generator - MDG-100

The MDG100 produces a stream of uniform size drops in the range of 50um to 300um. It relies upon an established technique of liquid column excitation to generate the droplet stream.

15mm Diameter 1-Component Transceiver Probe - TR110

106mm Fiberoptic Receiver Probe - RV100 Series

The TSI RV 100 Series Phase Doppler Receiver has optimized optical design for the most reliable phase Doppler measurements over the widest dynamic range. The 106 mm optical aperture allows collection of signals even from small droplets in dense sprays, at long stand-offs, and even with reduced laser power. Optimized optical design, including a non-integer detector spacing, allow phase Doppler systems based on this receiver to reject low-reliability signals from the incorrect scattering component.

70mm Transmitting Probe - TM Series

The "TM" Series Transmitting Probes are the ideal choice for phase Doppler measurements. They are compact, user-friendly, and provide a wide variety of fringe spacings and waist sizes. This is achieved using TSI's unique XPD50-I internal beam expander/contractor and an assortment of optional focusing lenses from 250 mm focal length to 1000 mm focal length.  The TM series probes are equipped with a convenient rotating mount and sliding base. Beam steering and fiber polishing can be performed by the user, with no need to return the unit to the factory. This is a key advantage, particularly when working with high-power, multi-Watt, water-cooled lasers.
