Chemtrac HydroACT 1200

The HydroAct range of Residual Chlorine Analyzers are used in a variety of municipal and industrial applications requiring the measurement and control of residual chlorine levels. Here are just a few key benefits that the HydroAct Chlorine Analyzer has to offer over most other analyzers:

  • Low cost of ownership
  • Reduced pH dependency
  • Stable and reliable
  • Free chlorine analyses
  • Total chlorine analyzers
  • Combined chlorine analyzers
  • Bufferless chlorine analyzers
  • Reagentless chlorine analyser

With no moving parts and maintenance intervals of just 3 to 6 months on the Free, Total (Combined), and Chlorine Dioxide Analyzers; these Bufferless and Reagentless Chlorine Meters are fast becoming the instrument of choice for the customer who wants a chlorine sensor that is easy to maintain and affordable.

The HydroAct’s membrane covered probes are unique in that they are internally buffered, which greatly improves their reliability and accuracy as compared to most other amperometric chlorine analyzers. And there is no reason to be concerned with disposal issues because the residual Cl2 sensors that work with the HydroAct Chlorine Meter do not require the use of external buffers or reagents.

The HydroAct’s Free and Total Chlorine Sensors are suitable for compliance monitoring in drinking water (see below note for more details). Chemtrac offers a range of reagentless Chlorine Residual Analyzers including a Free Cl2 Analyzer, Total (Combined) Chlorine Analyzer, and Chlorine Dioxide Analyzer. Chemtrac’s Residual Chlorine Analyzer, in conjunction with a wide range of On-line Residual Chlorine Sensors, utilizes state of the art electronics that can include options for PID control, internal datalogging, local trending of recorded values on graphical display, Modbus TCP communications, Test Messaging of alarms, plus many other features.

The HydroAct Chlorine Residual Analyzer also offers a wide array of communication & integration options including TCP/IP (LAN), RS485, Relays, 4-20mA outputs, and GSM/CDMA modem. It is possible to interface and control the HydroAct Chlorine Meter remotely, enabling data, alarms, and setup information directly from your computer. Despite all the additional functionality that this instrument has to offer, the purchase cost are less than, or comparable to, its competitors. Factor in that there is no requirement for reagents or buffers, and that there are no moving parts to replace or maintain, and the payback period to replace an existing residual Cl2 analyzer could be just a few months.

Note: EPA Method 334 allows the use of any type of on-line Free or Total chlorine analyzer (e.g., amperometric, DPD, etc.) for compliance monitoring in drinking water when used in conjunction with a grab sample reference method that is approved for drinking water compliance monitoring. By following the outlined verification procedures in method 334, the HydroAct can be used for compliance monitoring.
