Respirator Fit Testing

Respirator Leak Tester - 8119

TSI's Respirator Leak Tester helps you perform fast, easy, after-maintenance leak tests on full-face, air-purifying respirators. With this respirator leak tester accessory, you can use your Model 8127 or 8130 Automated Filter Tester to challenge a respirator with test aerosol. Simply mount the respirator on the head form and scan the respirator with the hand-held probe. Test critical areas like eye-lens seals and exhaust valves. If the aerosol concentration inside the mask exceeds a preset level, audible and visual alarms will be triggered.

Mask Fit Testing System for Military Organizations - M41

The M41 PATS tests how well a military gas mask fits the soldier. Modern military masks are capable of a high degree of protection, but ONLY if they are fitted correctly and donned properly. A mask that is capable of protection factors of greater than 10,000 may only give a protection factor of 50 if it is incorrectly donned or is not the optimum size. The M41 provides a numerical measurement of the Fit Factor of the mask while it is being worn by a soldier.

Pro Respirator Fit Tester - 8030

The PORTACOUNT Pro Respirator Fit Tester eliminates the guesswork associated with tedious and error-prone qualitative fit test methods. No other fit tester can quantitatively fit test so many types of respirators - gas masks, SCBAs, respirators, even disposables (for fit testing N95 disposable respirators, see the PORTACOUNT Pro+ Respirator Fit Tester). If the mask requires fit testing, count on the PORTACOUNT Pro fit tester to provide the fastest, easiest and best OSHA-accepted fit test method.

Pro+ Respirator Fit Tester - 8038

The PORTACOUNT Pro+ Fit Tester Model 8038 can be used to fit test ANY tight-fitting respirator including N95, P2 and P1 disposables.  The PORTACOUNT Pro+ Respirator Fit Tester eliminates the guesswork associated with tedious and error-prone qualitative fit test methods. If the mask requires fit testing, count on the PORTACOUNT Pro+ fit tester to provide the fastest, easiest and best OSHA-accepted fit test method.

Laser Photometer - 8587A

Laser photometer for respirator fit certification testing per NIOSH 's  Laboratory Respirator Protection Level (LRPL) or OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 standards. The Laser Photometer can also be used for efficiency testing of HEPA filter assemblies.  In 1990, the U.S. Army asked TSI to develop an advanced-technology light scattering photometer to replace aging instruments incapable of measuring the high protection factors provided by newer gas mask designs. The result was the Model 8587 Laser Photometer, which is still in service.
