Particle Sizers

Model (UVAPS) - 3314

• Characterizes individual airborne particles between 0.5 to 15 μm
• Instantaneous measurements of aerodynamic diameter and scattered-light intensity
• Measures fluorescence intensity concurrently with above measurements

Electrical Aerosol Detector - 3070A

The Electrical Aerosol Detector (EAD) measures a key aerosol parameter believed to indicate the effective surface area of particles that can be deposited in the lung. This aerosol detector is a unique complement to our line of CPCs. Like a CPC, the EAD measures particle concentration as a function of time. But it also measures a parameter called aerosol diameter concentration, a property of ultrafine particles that is promising for health-effects research.

Fast Mobility Spectrometer - 3091

The Fast Mobility Particle Sizer (FMPS™) spectrometer measures particles in the range from 5.6 to 560 nm, offering a total of 32 channels of resolution (16 channels per decade). It uses an electrical mobility measurement technique similar to that used in our SMPS. However, instead of a CPC, the FMPS spectrometer uses multiple, low-noise electrometers for particle detection. This produces particle-size-distribution measurements with one-second resolution, providing the ability to visualize particle events and changes in particle size distribution in real time.

Nanometer Aerosol Sampler - 3089

The Nanometer Aerosol Sampler (NAS) allows you to sample charged particles, like those from the output of a Differential Mobility Analyzer (DMA), onto sample substrates for further analysis. This aerosol sampler lets you control the spot size of the deposition using two electrode sizes and get a uniform deposition size that is optimal for your analysis system.Allows sampling of charged particles onto TEM grids, AFM substrates, or glass slides for analysis

Scanning Mobility Spectrometers - 3034

• 10 nm to 487 nm particle measurement range
• 54 high resolution size channels
• Can operate for 30 days without a refill
• Continuous fast scanning measurements
• Designed for long term continuous monitoring
• A great tool for ultra-fine & nano-particle work

Model (FLAPS) - 3317

• Provides three real-time measurements of individual airborne particles
• The FLAPS III simultaneously measures for each individual airborne particle, the scattered-light
intensity and the fluorescence emissions in two wavelength regions

Engine Exhaust Spectrometer - 3090

The Engine Exhaust Particle Sizer (EEPS™) spectrometer measures the size distribution of engine-exhaust particle emissions in the range from 5.6 to 560 nm with the fastest time resolution available. Users can visualize and study the dynamic behavior of particle emissions that occur during transient test cycles, during the first few seconds of a cold start, or during regeneration of a particle trap or diesel particulate filter (DPF).

Model (FLAPS) - 3313

• Used by Australian and worldwide military forces for bio-aerosol detection
• More compact version of the 3314 model
• Same general features of the 3314 model
• Uses double crested optics
• Ideal for field or laboratory use

Aerodynamic Spectrometer - 3321

• 0.5 to 20 μm Precision particle measurements
• Patented double crested optics
• 64 channels with high resolution results
• Built-in pump with sheath air system
• As used by the EPA here and worldwide
• Ideal for aerosol and general particle work
