Fast eXimer laser ablation system - UP193-FX

•  Low depth penetration rate and enhanced crater morphology in all materials with minimal fractionation
•  Short pulse width and high irradiance of the UP193-FX insures efficient wavelength coupling
•  The ability to switch rapidly from one aperture setting to another is often crucial for certain analytical
    techniques like fluid inclusion analysis
•  Low cost of operation due to low consumption of gas for laser operation

Laser Ablation System - UP213

•  Higher absorption rate at 213nm vastly improves ablation of all materials Including fragile and easily cleaved minerals
•  Long, spike-free, stable signals - ideal for isotope ratios
•  "Resonator-flat" beam and specialized beam delivery system yields flat craters with energy densities that remain
    constant when changing spot sizes
•  Precision depth profiling and spot sizes to 5µm make this an excellent inclusion and thin-film  analysis tool
•  Accepts large format and specialized sample chambers including LN2 cooled chambers
•  Finer particles improves transport efficiency and minimizes deposits
•  Automated laser ablation process using the widely acclaimed New Wave Research software, including sample navigation
mosaic function. Operates from Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000, Me
•  Wavelength and feature upgrades available

Large Beam - UP266 MACRO

•  Flat, pre-calibrated spots from 30µm spots and up to > 750µm
•  VERITM functionality for spots from 20µm to >1200µm
•  ICP-OES detection limits of < 1µg/g (1ppm), are possible
•  ICP-MS detection limits of < 1ng/g (1ppb), are possible
•  >15J/cm2 energy density. Enough to efficiently ablate glass, steel, noble metals, plastics,  ceramics, biological matrices
•  Automated energy control via an optical attenuator for maximum dynamic range and stability
•  Closed-loop control with all makes of ICP-OES and ICP-MS instruments
•  Color sample viewing with a wide FOV (field-of-view)
•  Sample Map Navigation for up to 50mm virtual FOV of the sample

Sample Prep - Micromill

•  Sub-micron sample motion control
•  High-precision milling
•  Sample height detection and tilt correction by a drill-tip sensor
•  Sample map navigation increases sample-area field-of-view
•  50mm of computer-driven sample movement on X, Y and Z axes
•  Sub-sampling path interpolation
•  Data/image file re-coordination, including save, recall, and export
•  New contour-following function

Laser Fusing & Heating System - MIR 10

•  Gantry mounted system “floats” over stationary sample chamber; ready to use for optimal results
•  On-axis viewing and lasing at 90° to sample
•  Long working distance accommodates most sample cell designs
•  >20W minimum power to the sample, continuously adjustable for power “ramping”
•  Automated variable spot sizes below 100μm for in-situ analysis and up to 3000μm for rapid heating diffused (RHD) fusions
•  Software controlled iris “flattens” beam
•  Software control of all functions, including sample mosaic navigation function
•  Joystick control for tactile “chasing” of grains in wells

(Femto Laser BDS) - UP XP

•  Turn-key operation for your femto- second laser for ICP-MS, IR-MS, noble gas MS and LIBS.
•  Automated software control of the sample's motion, imaging and transport (carrier) gasses
•  A beam delivery path designed to minimize losses and maximum the spot size range
•  Integrates with all ICP-MS instruments for seamless operation
•  Supports several makes & models of NIR and UV femtosecond lasers archieve near-micron spots the resolution of ion-microprobes
•  Choose from a selection of calibrated, repeatable spot-sizes via software control
•  Target multiple features, transects and zones for individual or continuous, auto-sampling analysis
•  View and navigate samples using the Sample Mapping function

Femtosecond Laser Ablation System
