The Model 3302A reduces particle concentrations in high-concentration aerosols, providing a representative sample that meets the input requirements of the Aerodynamic Particle Sizer spectrometer. The 3302A achieves dilution ratios of 100 to 1 and 20 to 1 using easy-to-change capillary tubes. Two diluters in a tandem configuration provide dilution ratios as high as 10,000 to 1.

Our Aerosol Electrometer* provides accurate measurements of electrical current and flow rate. A front-panel display shows readings in real time. This instrument measures the total net charge on aerosol particles from 0.002 to 5 micrometers. When paired with a TSI Electrostatic Classifier, the Electrometer measures the number concentration of monodisperse aerosol. This configuration is used primarily for calibrating and testing particle instruments like CPCs. Data are presented on the electrometer display and also as an analog voltage for data recording.

TSI offers two reference books that no particle laboratory or aerosol library should be without. Aerosol Technology: Properties, Behavior, and Measurement of Airborne Particles (written by William C. Hinds) and Aerosol Measurement: Principles, Techniques, and Applications (edited by Klaus Willeke and Paul A. Baron) are the leading textbooks in the aerosol field. They are important references for those who must evaluate or recommend equipment for controlling airborne particles, and for students involved in the study of industrial hygiene, air pollution, radiation protection, inhalation toxicology, inhalation therapy, environmental science, or basic aerosol research.

Atomizers - Model 3076 generates aerosols of constant particle size in concentrations over 107 particles per cubic centimeter. Its nominal aerosol flow rate is 3.0 liters per minute. Stainless-steel components make this Collison-type atomizer suitable for biological and medical research, material synthesis, filter testing, instrument calibration, and basic research.

Model 3079 is a compact, rugged atomizer* that generates particles in concentrations up to 108 particles per cubic centimeter and offers an adjustable flow rate from 1.0 to 4.2 liters per minute. A built-in, low-noise compressor provides compressed air, and the atomizer head is made entirely of stainless steel. The operating components are protected by a hood, making this atomizer highly portable and suitable for acceptance tests.

Model 9302A, our simplest atomizer, includes a built-in pressure regulator for controlling air from an external source. It produces particles in concentrations over 107 particles per cubic centimeter at a nominal flow rate of 6.5 liters per minute.

Model 9306A features the highest flow rate and a built-in dilution system. Users may select up to six jets, each producing particle concentrations greater than 107 particles per cubic centimeter at 6.5 liters per minute (nominal at 25 psig pressure). Built-in dilution air controlled by a valve and rotameter allows you to vary the output particle concentration.

Conductive silicone tubing is critical for aerosol experiments because it reduces the buildup of static charge and minimizes particle loss to the tubing wall. TSI offers flexible, conductive tubing in four sizes to accommodate most experimental setups.
3001788 0.19-inch inside diameter, 50-foot length (fits 1/4-in. barb)
3001789 0.31-inch inside diameter, 50-foot length (fits 3/8-in. barb)
3001835 0.44-inch inside diameter, 25-foot length (fits 1/2-in. barb)
3001901 0.687-inch inside diameter, 25-foot length (fits 3/4-in. barb)

Diffusion Dryer - Model 3062
This Diffusion Dryer includes a removable extractor at its inlet for collecting large water droplets. Desiccant surrounding the aerosol flowpath removes excess moisture by diffusional capture. The dryer operates with minimal particle loss because aerosol never comes in contact with the desiccant. You're able to regenerate the desiccant simply by removing it from the Diffusion Dryer and baking it at 120 degrees Centigrade. Maximum flow rate is 4 liters per minute.

Filtered Air Supply - Model 3074B. Our Filtered Air Supply does it all! It removes oil or other liquid droplets from the incoming air using two prefilters. It removes any remaining moisture in the airstream by passing the air through an advanced membrane. Plus, it removes fine particles by including a high-efficiency filter at the outlet. It also allows you to make pressure adjustments using an included gas-regulator valve. This full-featured aerosol conditioner handles a maximum flow rate of 56 liters per minute at 2 degrees Centigrade. Its maximum inlet pressure is 1000 kPa (150 psig).

Impactor Inlet - Model 3306. Our Impactor Inlet combines a single-stage impactor and a sophisticated APS sampling probe in one instrument! It directs a small, representative sample of your test aerosol into the Aerodynamic Particle Sizer spectrometer for size-distribution measurement. The remaining aerosol passes through a single-stage impactor (2.5 or 4.7 micrometer) with an afterfilter, which collects a sample for later mass or chemical analysis.

Low-Flow Thermodenuder Model 3065. The presence of volatile particles and their precursors in particulate exhaust emissions can have great influence over the size measurement when the exhaust cools and dilutes. The Model 3065 Low-flow Thermodenuder is designed to remove precursors and volatile particles from an aerosol sample for subsequent measurement of dry particle size. It is optimized for use with TSI Scanning Mobility Particle Sizer (SMPS) systems.

With the Particle Size Selector (PSS), you're able to control the lower size cutoff of your TSI Condensation Particle Counter* (CPC). The PSS is a separating device that selectively removes small particles from an aerosol by diffusion. Simply add or remove diffusion screens to change your lower cutoff point. The lower cutoff shifts toward larger sizes as more screens are added.

The Process Aerosol Monitor* (PAM) Model 3375 measures high-concentration, monodisperse aerosols, like those produced with our Model 3475 Condensation Monodisperse Aerosol Generator* (CMAG) or other Sinclair-LaMer-type generators. The PAM is a process instrument that monitors aerosols on-line, measuring particle size and concentration in real time. It validates particle size and concentration and helps confirm that the CMAG is working properly. It is also suitable for monitoring an aerosol while making adjustments to the generator's operating parameters.

Respirator Leak Tester - Model 8119. Turn your 8127 or 8130 into a respirator tester!
Model 8119 helps you perform fast, easy, after-maintenance leak tests on full-face, air-purifying respirators. With this accessory, you can use your Model 8127 or 8130 Automated Filter Tester to challenge a respirator with test aerosol. Simply mount the respirator on the headform and scan the respirator with the hand-held probe. Test critical areas like eye-lens seals and exhaust valves. If the aerosol concentration inside the mask exceeds a preset level, audible and visual alarms are triggered.
