The LaserSpeed® 2100 Series is the latest, most advanced non-contact speed and length measurement system. It features a revolutionary new digital signal processor (DSP) that greatly enhances speed, length and elongation measurement accuracy, especially at low mill speed. Beta LaserMike offers two LS2100 systems to accommodate a range of hot and cold mill applications. While both systems provide highly accurate speed and length measurements, some appreciable differences make a particular model better suited for certain applications.

LaserSpeed 8000X (Extreme Environments)
LaserSpeed 8000X (Extreme Environments)

The LS8000X Series gauge is designed for the toughest environments, such as; interstand cold rolling mills, hot rolling mills and other applications where heavy steam, mist and sprays occur. The LS8000X has a stainless steel housing protecting the gauge with a built in air purge. The make-up air, for the air purge, flows through the housing to constantly bathe the gauge with cool, clean air. This reduces cooling requirements and helps keep the quick change window clean for up to 12 times longer than previous systems.
