Compliance Monitoring
![]() |
While a large and growing number of organizations throughout Australia carrying out dust monitoring are using light scattering devices such as TSI's popular DustTrak models, at times an organization may be asked by the EPA to do what is known as "Compliance Monitoring". This type of monitoring involves the use of a select number of EPA approved instruments / methods only, and light scattering devices such as photometers, optical particle counters, and nephelometers do not fall into this category. High Volume Samplers on the other hand are one example of the instruments that are widely used and EPA approved for this type of monitoring. They can be used for both PM fraction and TSP measurements.
