Australasian Heat and Mass Transfer Conference 2018

The Australasian Heat and Mass Transfer Conference (AHMTC) is a research forum organised by the Australasian Fluid and Thermal Engineering Society (AFTES), bringing together researchers to meet and present their work to the heat and mass transfer community.

This conference covers both fundamental and applied topics in broad areas of convection,  conduction,  radiation,  turbulence,  multi-phase flow,  combustion,  drying,  heat exchangers, micro and nano transport processes, computational methods,  experimental methods,  and other significant thermal processes in environmental, industrial, fire and process engineering.

We will be at the event with a live demonstration of a Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) system. TSI PIV systems measure velocity by determining particle displacement over a precisely selected time using a double-pulsed laser technique. Unique analysis algorithms obtain the particle displacements for the imaged region, to give the velocity information at thousands of locations-quickly, easily, reliably.

To learn more about PIV instrumentation and the areas of research this system can be applied to, send us your question using the contact form provided, or register for the conference and come visit us at Stand 1.
